LLHS Tigers Electronics Policy

• General Rule: Cell phones, electronic devices, and earbuds must remain out of sight to ensure a focused learning environment.

• Allowed Times: Students may use devices during lunch as well as before and after school.

• Violations: Any device seen or heard during prohibited times will be confiscated and may lead to disciplinary action by administration.

• Teacher Authority: Teachers may enforce additional classroom rules (e.g., placing phones in hanging pouches, leaving phones behind when going to the restroom, or keeping phones in backpacks).

• Smartwatches: Inappropriate use, such as texting, is subject to the same policy and consequences.

• Consequences for Policy Violations:

  • 1st Occurrence: The item is confiscated and held in the main office; the student can pick it up at the end of the school day.

  • Every Following Occurrence: The item is confiscated and held in the main office; a parent or legal guardian must pick up the device.
